Hey, Book Nerds!
It’s Wednesday! I recently discovered a lovely little corner of cyberspace where book-sessed bloggers (such as myself) link up posts where they spotlight upcoming releases they are eagerly anticipating. The event is hosted by Breaking the Spine, so hop on over to their blog for more “Waiting On” Wednesday posts. I also must give credit to What Sarah Read and Laura Pol at Crafty Booksheeps, two bloggers I follow who introduced me to this fun link-up.
Siren’s Fury by Mary Weber is the highly anticipated sequel to Storm Siren. You can learn more about Storm Siren and the amazing Mary Weber by clicking here.
In Siren’s Fury, Nym has saved Faelen only to discover that Draewulf stole everything she valued. Now he’s destroyed her Elemental storm-summoning ability as well.
When Nym sneaks off with a host of delegates to Bron, Lord Myles offers her the chance for a new kind of power and the whispered hope that it may do more than simply defeat the monster she loathes. But the secrets the Bron people have kept concealed, along with the horrors Draewulf has developed, may require more than simply harnessing a darker ability.
They may require who she is.
Set against the stark metallic backdrop of the Bron kingdom, Nym is faced with the chance to change the future.
Or was that Draewulf’s plan for her all along?
Where to begin? Storm Siren was AMAZING, and I KNOW Siren’s Fury will be all sorts of awesomesauce (I mean, have you seen the cover?). I’m hoping to learn a little more back story in the sequel, and also about the origins of the different powers. More than anything, I am dying to know what happens after the cliffhanger ending in Storm Siren (thanks for that, Mary Weber…wink, wink). What happened to Eogan? Will Nym ever see him again?
Siren’s Fury releases on June 2, 2015 from Thomas Nelson. You can pre-order Siren’s Fury here.
