As with Angel Eyes, I truly enjoyed the prose-like writing that is now classic Shannon Dittemore. While it’s only her second novel, Shannon writes as if she has twenty novels under her belt. Her descriptions draw you in and make you think of things in new ways. Her imagination brings the story into full color. I particularly loved how she described the “smell” of worship. It makes you wonder how worship really looks to our Creator. As humans, our senses are limited, but God is unlimited. Could our worship of Him really have a pleasing aroma? I believe it’s possible.
