In Matthew Needham’s book The End of the World, he addresses many difficult subjects pertaining to end time prophecy. He provides references, historical background, and most importantly the constant reminder of the need for salvation. He stands by his beliefs and is bold through his writing. Matthew goes against the grain, choosing not to side with the mainstream view of a Pre-tribulation rapture. Instead, he explains why the rapture cannot happen until “the last trump” and provides sufficient evidence to back up this view. Though I did not agree with some of the other interpretations of prophecy he presented, I found his book a great tool for in-depth Bible study.
The Fairest Beauty by Melanie Dickerson
The Fairest Beauty by Melanie Dickerson is a charming retelling of the classic tale of Snow White. Written from a Christian perspective, this novel veers away from the magical elements that are splashed throughout the young adult genre these days, and focuses more on the underlying themes of acceptance, forgiveness, and unconditional love.
