I have always enjoyed Shakespeare. In high school, one of my favorite movies was 10 Things I Hate About You, and Much Ado About Nothing with Emma Thompson and Kenneth Branagh always gave me a good laugh. My daughter loved the movie Gnomeo and Juliet and I will have to admit one of my favorite movies of all time is, in fact, Shakespeare in Love. Yes, the tragic tales and love stories of Shakespeare have been done and redone. Sometimes we hem and ha and say, “Seen it, read it, give me something new.” In the case of Courting Cate, by Leslie Gould, however, this was far from my reaction.
What’s the Book About?
Why I liked it…
If you like Shakespeare, Amish fiction, and inspirational love stories, this book is for you. I am giving it five out of five stars simply because I could not put it down. Courting Cate left me smiling long after I finished the last page. I can’t wait to read the next book in the Courtships of Lancaster County Series, Adoring Addie, when it releases in May.
About the Author…

Ah yes, nothing quite like a good remake of some Shakespearean story…and even better because you can understand the writing! 🙂
