Because it’s just me and the girls, I have to modify these lessons a bit as they are designed to be used in a Sunday school classroom. Modifying isn’t difficult though and we have had so much fun so far! This week, we started off imagining what our “best day ever” would look like. Then we took turns making up a story about an imaginary boy named Daniel who had a great day because he got to go to Heaven. I would say a sentence of the story and then Noelle would add a sentence. In our story, Daniel got to ride a roller coaster, go on a bike ride with angels, play games with Jesus, and even jump on the bed! We talked about how the day we made up for Daniel was similar to what Noelle imagined her “best day ever” would look like (jumping on the bed especially).
Afterwards, we talked about other things that are the same colors. I had to laugh when the thing she said was orange like the agate stone was not the sun or orange juice, but her Jesus Calling for Kids devotional.
Do your kids ask questions about Heaven? How do you describe Heaven to them? Maybe there’s a special verse you use or Bible story you tell them? I love hearing from you! Thanks for stopping by.
Yours in Christ,
