When a sequel turns out to be better than its predecessor, I am surprised and delighted. Shannon Dittemore doesn’t fail to please in the newest addition to the Angel Eyes trilogy, Broken Wings, in which Brielle and Jake face new challenges regarding their relationship as well as all things Celestial.
It’s been months since the incident at the warehouse, and Brielle is just starting to discover the depths a relationship with her Creator can reach. She is happy with the way things are going and she is even dancing again. Enter Olivia Holt and the strange way she looks at the halo around Brielle’s wrist. Who is the new woman Brielle’s best friend Kaylee adores and what connection does she have to Brielle? With new questions and surprises around every corner, Broken Wings will have you turning pages into the wee hours of the night.

Recommendation…
I preferred this book to Angel Eyes because this story steered clear of the mature content regarding child kidnapping and slavery, and focused more on forgiveness and faith. I would recommend this book to young adults and adults who enjoy stories of the “angels and demons” type genre. I would also recommend it and applaud it simply because the author presents a clean and pure romantic relationship between the two main characters, something that is rare in young adult fiction these days.
