When a sequel turns out to be better than its predecessor, I am surprised and delighted. Shannon Dittemore doesn’t fail to please in the newest addition to the Angel Eyes trilogy, Broken Wings, in which Brielle and Jake face new challenges regarding their relationship as well as all things Celestial.

I preferred this book to Angel Eyes because this story steered clear of the mature content regarding child kidnapping and slavery, and focused more on forgiveness and faith. I would recommend this book to young adults and adults who enjoy stories of the “angels and demons” type genre. I would also recommend it and applaud it simply because the author presents a clean and pure romantic relationship between the two main characters, something that is rare in young adult fiction these days.
