A Tommy Nelson Mommy Review and Giveaway!
What is a blessing? Often times we use phrases like “I am so blessed!” or “What a blessing!”, but what do those mean? Growing up in a Christian home, the word “blessing” was used constantly. My five-year-old often says, “thank you for the blessings you have given us” in her prayers, but I sometimes wonder if she really understands what she is saying.
The Hebrew word for “bless” is “barak” and literally means “to kneel and present a gift”. So, when we thank Elohim for the blessings He gives us (the gifts he presents to us), we in turn are blessing Him (kneeling before Him and presenting our gifts/ actions to Him).
Blessed be the Name of YHWH! Amen?

Every Day a Blessing: A Year of God’s Love from Tommy Nelson
Morning devotions with my mom are some of my fondest childhood memories. Sitting at the breakfast table with a hot bowl of maple and brown sugar oatmeal, my mom would read us a passage from scripture and then something from a devotional book before sending us off to school. I guess you could say she blessed me (presented a gift to me) by putting my needs before her own.
Every Day a Blessing is a new devotional from Tommy Nelson that teaches kids to appreciate the little things in life. From being thankful for everything grandparents to the seasons, Every Day a Blessing will help your family begin to notice all the special gifts Elohim presents to His children on a daily basis.
I love the simple messages of these daily devotions which include a scripture, story, discussion question or activity, and prayer. There is a blessing for each weekday as well as the weekend. The entries are short, taking maybe five to ten minutes of your time. Perfect for breakfast or quiet time, Every Day a Blessing will bless you and your family. The colors and simple illustrations will keep little ones interested, while older children will enjoy the discussions and activities that will get them thinking. Complete with a ribbon bookmark so you won’t lose your place, Every Day a Blessing is a great addition to your bookshelf of homeschool and Biblical resources.

The Giveaway…
Time for another Tommy Nelson Mommy giveaway! I know you guys love this just as much as I do. I love presenting these gifts to you as I am truly given a gift to be able to share these great resources.
I’m doing things a little differently again. In light of what we learned about the word “bless”, why not use this giveaway as an opportunity to bless someone else?
How to enter for your chance to win Every Day a Blessing:
1. Simply enter your address in the Raffelcopter so I know where to have your book sent, should you win.
2. Leave a comment below, telling me how you make “everyday a blessing” in your home.
3. Refer your friends (unlimited entries!). For every friend who enters, you will receive an extra entry (entered manually by me). Just make sure to tell them to mention your name in their comment below.
I love and appreciate all the likes and shares on social media, and I would still love for you to do those things. The reason I am doing this giveaway differently is because I hope to reach an even larger audience for my Savior. Many times I have found that the same handful of readers end up earning dozens of entries through tweeting and pinning, and while I am so blessed by your faithfulness, I want others to have a chance to win and be blessed too!
This giveaway will run through Friday, January 31st. Winners will be announced here on my blog on Monday, February 3rd, so be sure to check back. Oh, and don’t forget, there’s still time to enter my super fun God’s Little Princess Bedtime Devotional Coloring Contest! Click here for more details!
I love hearing from you! Until then, happy reading!
Yours in Messiah Yeshua,

How I make a blessing in my home is to wake up every morning thanking God for my beautiful family and being all that I can be for him. Also having the joy of raising my daughter to do the same and have a relationship with hhim

In all honesty, we struggle with seeing EVERY day as a blessing, though on the days we remember enough not to get caught up in the busyness of the day, we pray together, for others we see in need, and for the privilege of living another day and having Our God, and His Grace, and each other. 😉
Sara Ella says
I struggle with the same thing, Katherine. His Grace is something I need constantly:)
Jennifer says
Every day is a blessing in my home. I lead by example, we sit down together each meal, and pray together. We share our day with each other, and like to do family things together to bless others.
Sara Ella says
Leading by example is the best way to do it, Jennifer! Thanks for taking time to comment:)

We pray and thank God for each day and we talk about what happened during the day. Even if things didnt go well we know God has a purpose and reason for it and we know to give thanks in everything. We are constantly reminded by Him that each day is a blessing.

Beautiful, Maryann!
