When Lily and her mom experience a close call, Lily finds herself on the scene of a car accident, helping out where she can. Excited about the possibilities of helping others, Lily decides to learn everything she can about first aid, medical jargon, and even begs her parents to enroll her in a CPR class. When they finally agree, Lily is more than thrilled and brags to her Girlz Only Club all about the new things she will be able to teach them once she takes the class. Little does Lily know what’s really in store for her at her class which is called “Taking Care of Your Body”. Filled with lighthearted humor and real issues girls deal with everyday, Lily Robbins, MD is sure to be a book your daughter will enjoy.
Why I liked it…
This is a great read for girls ages 7-13. I even found myself laughing here and there. My daughter has shown interest in being a doctor when she grows up and loves to play dress up and pretend to see to her patients (dolls and baby sister Madi). I know she will enjoy this book once she is old enough. I think it’s a great way for parents to introduce these issues and open up conversations about topics that might otherwise be difficult to approach.
