“The hills are alive with the sound of music…”
I don’t know about you, but those lyrics bring back so many childhood memories for me. Dancing around the living room while I watched the well-worn VHS tapes over and over again, I dreamed of being on stage and singing my little heart out. Unfortunately for me, the farthest I ever got was a small part as Brigitta in a Christian Youth Theater class recital. Still, I loved the movie and the music. I still have those VHS tapes and Julie Andrews is still my favorite actress.
I am so excited about the new version of The Sound of Music, which airs live on NBC tonight at 8/7c. Starring Carrie Underwood and Stephen Moyer, this live telecast of the beloved family classic is expected to delight audiences young and old.
