Teaching our Littles to shine their lights is a daily practice. I love Sheila Walsh’s Shine Your Light Devotional for this very reason. Though everything of Sheila’s that I have read has been a treasure, this one in particular has to be my favorite. With memory verses, new words to learn, prayer prompts, and activities and ideas that go along with the lessons, this addition to the God’s Little Angel series is sure to have your little angel letting her light shine.
A Rabbi Looks at the Last Days by Jonathan Bernis
How can we, as Christians, help usher in these final days? What is our role, or more importantly, what is Israel’s role? If you want to know, the Bible has the answers. In “A Rabbi Looks at the Last Days” Bernis offers guidance through the scriptures as he takes you on a journey of discovery and reminds you of where our Savior truly came from.
Heaven is for Real Lesson 5 ~ Everyone is Happy in Heaven
This week in Heaven Is for Real for Kids: 13 Sunday School Lessons for Ages 4-8 , we discovered that “Everyone is Happy in Heaven”. I had to modify the lesson a bit because much of it was designed to be done with a large group of kids. We still had fun though, and it gave Noelle a chance to take more time on the craft this week.
Truffula Treats
To celebrate Dr. Seuss’s birthday, or what my daughter calls “The Lorax’s Birthday”, we decided to make Truffula Treats. They are easy, fun, and a great story time treat.
Healthier Green Eggs
In honor of Dr. Seuss’ birthday tomorrow I decided to make “Healthier Green Eggs”, a recipe I created a couple years ago for my daughter’s birthday. It was the perfect entrée since her birthday happens to be on St. Patty’s Day. Not only is it the color of choice, but it’s also super healthy and yummy too. You may find that your kids may just be asking for more. They may even eat them in a box.
Children’s Favorite Bible Stories with Giveaway
One book I have already decided to include and implement into next year’s Bible schedule is Children’s Favorite Bible Stories from Tommy Nelson. It’s jam-packed with all the ingredients needed to cook up a Bible lesson that’s rich in taste and full of texture.
