I’ve put together a few easy, last minute, Valentine’s Day ideas, just in case you’re scrambling for something to do.
10 Reasons to Fall In Love With Jesus: Reason # 8 (Nancy Rue Guest Post)
When you were a little kid (or maybe even now!) and you strayed from your mom or dad in Wal-Mart or someplace, they always took you back when you found them or they had to find you. I mean, right? They might have been mad at you, grounded you, took away your computer privileges, but they didn’t say, “Sorry, kid, but you aren’t ours anymore.” Can you even imagine that happening? Jesus is exactly like your parents only he leaves out the punishment. If you get sidetracked, forget to pray, whine about going to church, have a season where you and your friends are snarky to people – as soon as you realize you’ve wandered off, you can go straight back to Jesus and he’ll take you in. And continue to teach you. And you’ll wander away less and less. Ya gotta love how that works.
Lesson 4 ~ Heaven is More Amazing Than You Can Imagine
Our scripture reference this week comes from Revelation 21: 19-21 which talks about the different stones that make up the city walls in Heaven. Noelle got the chance to do a coloring sheet where she got to color (and even decorate with glitter) the precious stones described in this passage.
Broken Wings by Shannon Dittemore
As with Angel Eyes, I truly enjoyed the prose-like writing that is now classic Shannon Dittemore. While it’s only her second novel, Shannon writes as if she has twenty novels under her belt. Her descriptions draw you in and make you think of things in new ways. Her imagination brings the story into full color. I particularly loved how she described the “smell” of worship. It makes you wonder how worship really looks to our Creator. As humans, our senses are limited, but God is unlimited. Could our worship of Him really have a pleasing aroma? I believe it’s possible.
A Valentine from Above
Plus a Valentine’s Day Library Giveaway! In honor of the “Valentine” my husband discovered in our front yard, I wrote a little poem to remind everyone of our greatest love of all! Do you ever just need a reminder that your Creator cares for you? Something that says, “I will love you, no matter what you do?” Imagine a love… Read More
Bible Stories that end with a hug!
I’m a hugger. I love giving hugs and I love getting hugs. There’s nothing better than when your child runs up to you, jumps into your arms and squeezes the life out of you. Or what about when your baby makes the transition from simply letting you cuddle her to actually returning the cuddle back? Hugs say “I love you”… Read More
